How do we begin?

Considering that effective change through therapy takes a substantial investment of time and energy, a deliberate process enables us to ensure our readiness to commit to doing this important work.

First

Initial Video Consultation

Reach out and we will find a time to connect and discuss what brings you to therapy and address any questions you may have about working with me. We will discuss your needs and assess our fit for working together as well as scheduling and pricing specifics

Next

Initial Assessment Sessions

We will then spend our two initial sessions covering the specifics of your circumstances, as well as gathering pertinent information from your past that would inform your current situation. These sessions will also give us the time to continue to assess your level of comfort and safety in working with me and whether my style and conceptualizations resonate with you.

Then

Continuation of Therapy

Significant therapeutic growth happens through long-term work with a therapist. Thus, I ask that new clients see me weekly, and set the expectation that our work will continue for at least several months before beginning to see therapeutic outcomes. I find that this commitment of frequency and duration allow us to promote the best outcomes and offer significant long-lasting healing, rather than behavioral fixes.
